Dros y Tonnau/Over the Waves will put on record the rich maritime heritage of communities in Cardigan and the Lower Teifi Valley. The shape of the landscape as we see it today was formed during the last ice ages. There are many recorded Iron Age and Bronze Age settlements but little evidence of Roman occupation along the southern coast of Cardigan Bay. The Norman invasion resulted in castles in Carmarthen, Cardigan and Aberystwyth, and towns and villages grew as more and more trade was carried out by sea.
